What is a cutting tool insert?
Cutting tool inserts These are replaceable or indexable components installed on cutting tools (such as lathes, milling cutters, drills, etc.), directly participating in the cutting process of workpiece materials.
It is a core component in machining (such as turning, milling, drilling, etc.), responsible for removing material through shearing, extrusion, etc., to form the required part shape and precision.

Classification of cutting tool inserts:
1. By shape
Triangle ( T type), square ( S type), rhombus ( D type), circle ( R type), etc. Different shapes affect the number of cutting edges and applicable scenarios.
2. By processing type
Turning inserts Used for external round, end face, or internal hole turning.
Milling inserts Used for face milling, slot milling, or contour machining.
Drilling inserts Used for drilling or reaming.
3. By installation method
Indexable inserts After dulling, another cutting edge can be rotated for use, which is cost-effective.
Brazed inserts Cemented carbide inserts are brazed onto the tool holder, which is low cost but not replaceable.

CNC insert cutting tool factory
